Russian President Puts Tarkett’s Russian Operations Under Temporary External Administration
Moscow, Russia, October 19, 2026—Tarkett has been informed of the Decree of the Russian President, containing the decision to place its Russian entities under temporary external administration, effective as of October 15.
The decree covers holdings in Tarkett, Tarkett Rus and Tarkett Sommer. The arrangement leaves foreign owners with the legal title of ownership but removes their ability to run the businesses.
Tarkett has two plants in Russia, in the Samara and Moscow regions.
The reports do not announce a factory shutdown. Moscow describes these measures as reversible retaliation connected to European support for Ukraine and frozen Russian assets. The reporting does not establish when Tarkett might regain control or what the financial loss will be.
Tarkett, headquartered in France, is currently assessing the situation.
