Dixie Group Announces Freight Cost Increase

Dalton, GA, September 22, 2026—The Dixie Group (TDG) sent out the following email on September 21. “With the ongoing events in the Middle East and the resulting rapid increase in diesel fuel costs, our domestic freight carriers have implemented significant increases in fuel surcharges. These fuel surcharges have led to continued increases in freight costs throughout this year.    

“To offset these freight cost increases, TDG will be implementing freight increase of 10% effective October 1, 2026.  This increase is a temporary fuel surcharge increase which will be adjusted when we see relief from our carriers.      

“This increase will impact soft surface orders with prepaid freight, which includes most orders of DH Floors, Masland, and Fabrica carpets.”
