Construction To Start on Wood Plant in West Virginia

Preston County, WVA, Oct. 29, 2014 — A Preston County businessman will break ground Oct. 31 at the site of his company that will produce wood flooring, according to the State Journal online.

Matt Thorn of Thorn Holdings LLC will build Mountain Craft Wide Plank, including a sawmill, drying facility and a showroom for the wide plank Appalachian hardwood flooring.

The company will initially produce wide plank flooring out of hickory, cherry, maple, red oak and white oak in 6-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch widths.
