BASF Raising Some Prices in Europe

Ludwigshafen, Germany, March 5, 2012 — BASF SE is increasing its European selling prices for several products.
 
The increases include: 1,4 Butandiol (BDO), 125 euros/metric ton; Tetrahydrofuran (THF), 100 euros/metric ton; Polytetramethylene ether glycol, 75 euros/metric ton; N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP), 75 euros/metric ton; Gamma Butyrolactone (GBL), 100 euros/metric ton.

BDO and its derivatives are used for producing engineering plastics, polyurethanes, solvents and elastic spandex and elastane fibers.
