CFI, WFCA and Surfaces To Present Installation Sho

Dallas, TX, Jan. 9–Mistakes in floor covering installations mean lost profits for installers and retailers. That’s why it’s so important that floor covering professionals are not only aware of common installation challenges but understand how to avoid them.

For the first time, Surfaces and the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA), in cooperation with Certified Floor Covering Installers Association (CFI), are offering targeted, how-to sessions on common installation problems live on the show floor. The all new Installation Showcase brings retailers and installers face-to-face with industry experts for interactive demonstrations on these critical installation issues.

“The importance of proper floor covering installation with fair compensation can be a major factor to retailers’ bottom line, as well as profits for future business. With the proper installation, the end user is happy, the installation crew is rewarded with fair compensation and the retailer has built a lasting relationship with the end user,” says Jon Namba, Director, Technical Services, WFCA. “The Installation Showcase will highlight unique types of installations that the retailer and installer can utilize to enhance their profits, offer the end user a unique and upgraded type of installation and display quality workmanship and the value of a professional installation.”

The Installation Showcase will be located in Hall A of the Sands Expo & Convention Center, next to the World Floor Covering Association booth (#1974). It’s free to attend these information-packed sessions (with exhibits admission), which are sponsored by the WFCA and Surfaces. “The new Installation Showcase at Surfaces 2004 is a fantastic opportunity to present the floor covering community not only with some of the design elements available using various flooring materials, but also to the technical craftsmanship involved in bringing them to life,” says Daniel Westcott, Floor Covering Instructor, Northern WI Regional Council of Carpenters.

“Transforming a designer’s vision into a masterful work of art can only be realized if the installation professional has acquired the proper technical skills training to accomplish this task. Material selection, design characteristics and proper installation are all equal partners in a successful installation and a satisfied end user. I am looking forward to an exciting presentation of excellence at the Installation Showcase!”

“Installation is one of the most important components in our industry,” says Alan Delahunty, president, Floor Coverings by Certified, Inc. “Surfaces provides us a look at some of the best installation in the industry at The Installation Showcase. This showcase is just one of the great values available at Surfaces.”

With all the key information in these sessions that will help reduce costly callbacks and increase productivity and profits, installers and retailers can’t afford to miss the all new Installation Showcase.
