Residential Construction Up in October

Washington, DC, Dec. 15, 2009--Residential construction was up 4 percent in October over September, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

According to the bureau, the value of construction put in place was $258.5 billion, compared to $248.1 billion in October.

Non-residential construction was nearly flat, with a 1.5 percent decline.
