Phenix Flooring Merges with Pharr Yarns

Dalton, GA, Jan. 13, 2015 – Pharr Yarns said it has merged Phenix Flooring LLC into its business.

Pharr, based in North Carolina, is a North American manufacturer of differentiated carpet yarns and high performance yarns.

Phenix is a manufacturer of residential floor coverings currently sold through independent carpet retailers and home improvement chains.

Pharr has been the exclusive provider of yarn to Phenix for the past six years, according to Pharr president Bill Carstarphen.

“The Pharr-Phenix merger provides us a consistent distribution channel for our carpet yarns while continuing our partnership with other carpet manufacturers, both in the U.S. and abroad,” Carstarphen said.

Pharr Yarns, which recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, began as a sales yarn manufacturing company in 1939.
