Intertech Flooring Gets Starnet Design Award

Austin, TX, May 27, 2008--Intertech Flooring’s green flooring work on Austin’s Dell Children’s Medical Center garnered the company a top award in this year’s StarNet Design Awards for flooring design excellence.

StarNet, a national commercial flooring cooperative, awarded Intertech first place in the Health Care category. The $200 million Dell Children's Medical Center opened in summer 2007 and is on track to become the first LEED Platinum health care facility in the country and one of only a handful worldwide.

Intertech's work was selected from more than 100 flooring projects nationwide. Sharing the awards with Intertech are architect/designers Joseph F. Kuspan, Stephen T. Zilles and Kenneth C. Redman, with Karlsberger.

In addition, Intertech Flooring sponsored entries by two Univeristy of Texas at San Antonio interior design students who received first place and honorable mention in the Student Design category.
