EF, Mohawk & Shaw Announce Soft Surface Price Increases

Chattanooga, TN, March 20, 2018-Engineered Floors, Mohawk and Shaw have all announced price increases on carpet products, citing rising costs in raw materials. Each price increase impacts orders placed on or after April 9 and shipments made after April 23.

Engineered Floors will increase prices 5% to 7% on its Dream Weaver, Dwellings, Engineered Floors, Beaulieu of America and Pentz carpet brands.

Mohawk will raise prices 6% to 7% on all of its residential and commercial broadloom and modular products. Mohawk will also increase freight rates by $0.04 to $0.06 per square yard on all broadloom and modular carpet on or after April 9.

Shaw Industries will raise residential and commercial carpet prices 6% to 7% with a minimum of $0.27 per yard. Effective April 9, carpet freight rates will increase $0.05 per square yard, with minimums increasing $9.00 per shipment. Hard surface drop charges will increase $9.00 per shipment.
