Delta Hardwood in Expansion Project

Lee Center, NY, Feb. 25, 2010--Delta Hardwood Flooring Inc. has received a $50,000 loan from Mohawk Valley Edge’s Rural Development & Agri-Business Assistance Program, according to the Rome Sentinel newspaper.

Funding for a $1.15 million project is for the purchase of equipment while additional loans from Rome Savings Bank and Mohawk Valley Economic Development District were used to renovate a building, buy equipment and provide working capital. Delta Hardwood was formed Sept. 11 to produce mid- to high-end hardwood flooring.

For the next three years the new business will exclusively manufacture product for Green River Flooring/ American Heritage Flooring in Oswego. Green River has been in business for more than 30 years.
